Bingo night: how to host one, free

A bingo night just needs someone to call the balls and a card for every player. Tombingo lets you call from a console while each guest marks their own card on their phone, with no printing and no account for players, or you can print paper cards instead. It’s free for up to 30 cards per event.

How to set up a bingo night

  1. Create the event

Name your night, pick a language and a color, and generate the cards your guests need.

  2. Invite your players

Share the event link and each guest’s card number by text or chat, or hand out the numbers in person if everyone’s in the same room.

  3. Call the balls

Spin the on-screen cage, or type in each number if you’re calling from a physical cage. Every player’s card updates on its own.

  4. Check the bingos

Type the card number and the console says whether the bingo is valid and which balls are still missing.

  • Cards on every phone

Each player opens the event link and sees their card with the called balls marked automatically, in the hall or at home.

  • Bingos checked by the console

Type the card number and Tombingo tells you whether the bingo is valid and which balls are still missing.

  • A screen for the projector

The bingo cage and the board full screen on a projector or TV, with no chat and no player details.

  • Raffles among the cards

Between rounds, the console picks a random card number from the cards in play.

  • Live video, sold separately

Stream the hall to people playing from home. It’s optional and paid separately, with a pass or the Organizer plan; the free plan doesn’t include it.

One night, a few ways to play

A living room with five friends and a kitchen table of snacks works the same as a rec room with thirty. Everyone marks their own card on their phone, so there’s no stack of paper cards to check by eye when someone calls bingo.

Prefer paper? The bingo card generator prints up to 30 cards, four to a page, straight from your browser.

Keep the night moving

Start with a shorter round, like a single line or four corners, so someone calls bingo early and the room warms up. Save a full card for later, once everyone’s settled in.

Pick a pattern for each round and tell guests before you start. When someone calls bingo, type their card number into the console instead of checking the card by hand.

What it costs

Free for up to 30 cards per event, no credit card. For a bigger group, event passes start at USD 9; see pricing for the full list.

Raising money instead of just playing for fun? The bingo fundraiser page covers that angle. More on how Tombingo works is on the home page.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to host a bingo night?

A device to call from and a card for each guest, either on their phone through the event link or printed from the [bingo card generator](@bingo-card-generator).

How many people can play?

The free plan covers up to 30 cards in one event. For a bigger night, event passes start at USD 9.

Do my guests need to download anything?

No. They open the event link in a browser, type their name and their card number, and their card marks itself as balls are called.

Can I still call from a physical bingo cage?

Yes. Type each number into the console as you draw it, and every player’s card updates to match.

Is a bingo night here played for money?

No. Tombingo is entertainment software for group events and doesn’t handle bets, stakes or cash prizes between players.
